1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to seasoncue.app, the SeasonCue Light Summer web application, and related support interactions. In this policy, “SeasonCue,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of SeasonCue.
2. Information SeasonCue handles
Purchase and license information
When you purchase SeasonCue, our checkout provider processes the transaction. SeasonCue receives or verifies limited information needed to provide access, such as your purchase email address, product information, license key, license status, and device activation status.
SeasonCue does not receive or store your full payment card number.
Photos you analyze
If you choose or capture an image in the app, the image is used locally in your browser to calculate color, depth, saturation, contrast, pattern, and lighting information.
Saved checks and preferences
Saved checks, favorites, walkthrough status, and certain app preferences are stored locally in your browser using local storage. They are not stored in a SeasonCue user account. Clearing your browser storage can remove this information.
License device identifier
When a device is activated, SeasonCue creates a random device identifier in your browser. It is used to distinguish license activations and is not based on your device serial number or other hardware identifier.
Technical and request information
Our hosting and security provider may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested URL, timestamps, and security or diagnostic information when you access SeasonCue.
3. How we use information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to:
- confirm purchases and activate or validate SeasonCue licenses;
- provide and maintain the SeasonCue application;
- remember an authorized device session;
- respond to support or privacy requests;
- protect SeasonCue against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
- diagnose technical problems and maintain security; and
- comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations.
SeasonCue does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Cookies and local storage
SeasonCue uses limited browser storage required for the product to function:
- Secure access cookie: after license activation, SeasonCue sets a secure, HTTP-only session cookie so the app recognizes an authorized device. The current session can remain valid for up to one year, subject to continued license validity.
- Local storage: the app stores a random device ID, saved checks, favorites, and interface preferences in your browser.
SeasonCue does not currently use advertising cookies or behavioral advertising trackers.
Analytics: SeasonCue uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site and to improve the shopping experience. Google Analytics may collect information such as page views, session activity, approximate location, browser and device information, scroll activity, and outbound link clicks. Google Analytics may also use a first-party cookie, such as _ga, to distinguish users and sessions. SeasonCue does not use Google Analytics for personalized advertising.
5. Service providers
SeasonCue relies on a small number of providers to operate the service:
- Lemon Squeezy: acts as the merchant of record for purchases and handles checkout, payment processing, taxes, receipts, refunds, and license-key services. See Lemon Squeezy’s Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare: provides hosting, security, DNS, and server-side Worker functionality used to protect and deliver SeasonCue. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts: SeasonCue uses Google-hosted fonts for typography. Your browser may make requests to Google to load those font resources. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
6. Data retention
SeasonCue keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing purchased access, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, and satisfying legal or accounting requirements.
Information stored only in your browser remains there until you delete it, clear browser storage, or use an available in-app deletion control. Transaction and license records handled by Lemon Squeezy are retained according to Lemon Squeezy’s policies and applicable legal requirements.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, applicable privacy law may give you rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have a right to receive a copy of certain information.
Because much of SeasonCue’s app data is stored only in your own browser, you control that local information directly through the app and your browser settings. For purchase records handled by Lemon Squeezy, some requests may need to be fulfilled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record.
SeasonCue will honor privacy rights required by applicable law.
8. Children’s privacy
SeasonCue is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to SeasonCue, contact us so we can address the request.
9. Security
SeasonCue uses reasonable technical safeguards appropriate to the service, including HTTPS, secure server-side license validation, and secure session cookies. No Internet service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. International processing
SeasonCue and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those locations may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SeasonCue changes or as legal requirements evolve. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required by law.
